Winter Bubble is an endless winter-themed bubble shooter. While snow falls down the screen, the player uses a ring shooter to knock bubble balls decorated like Christmas tree ornaments from the playfield into colorful 50 | 100 | 150 | 100 | 50 score zone containers below the ring. The player attempts to earn gift boxes by meeting score goals. They also attempt to play as long as possible.
The game requires the player to create clusters of three or more matching ornaments with the projectiles on the ring shooter. If the main projectile doesn't match anything, the player can select the center of the ring to swap it with the secondary one. When the balls fall from the field, they drop directly into the cylindrical score containers or bounce around first. The player increases their score by making clusters that contain multiplier balls.
Winter Bubble attempts to distract the player from making accurate shots two ways. It drops the snowflakes into the target zone. It also randomly displays the wrong color on an optional dotted targeting line.
The player can combat these issues by using boosters, such as bombs, rainbow balls, rockets and electricity balls. Boosters reduce the number of bubble ball ornaments on the field at any given time. For example, rainbow balls remove all ornaments of one color. Electricity balls take out a horizontal line of bubble balls and drop any below that line in an avalanche.
