Wildlife Haven: Sandbox Safari is an incremental animal rescue simulation game. A player must build and manage a wildlife sanctuary and rehabilitation area for many endangered species. They restore animal health and provide habitats for each animal to thrive on a remote island.
The player sends rangers in all-terrain vehicles on expeditions to find hurt animals. They also set up revenue-generation schemes and expand areas throughout the haven with new structures, equipment and even decorations.
The game is divided into areas represented by tabs at the bottom of the screen. The first tab, labeled with a golden star, allows the player to monitor the ratings of their facilities. Higher ratings mean more success over time. The Expeditions, Habitats and Base tabs allow the player to hire rangers, buy vehicles, send out rangers to find animals, improve habitats, invest in equipment and perform other tasks. The final three tabs show the player's current statistics, funds and number of fans.
Wildlife Haven: Sandbox Safari uses an incremental-payment upgrade system. The player receives a monetary reward every time they rescue and heal an animal. The player must click an animal a few times to heal it. They also receive revenues from subscribers to a safari streaming channel and an online store that sells merchandise. They can also perform specific tasks and receive benefits by watching videos instead of using cash.
