Wild West Klondike is a timed, levels-style card game based on Solitaire Klondike play that has a fantasy Wild West theme. Across levels, the player rearranges cards displayed in layered, mixed-order columns to create four ascending order, color- and suit-matched piles. They also try to reach a high score.
The game features different Wild West backdrops that include scenes from a town and a desert homestead with a mountain view. The cards display standard red and black colors for the clubs, diamonds, hearts and spades. Country singer Kings, cowgirl Queens and cowboy Jacks represent the royals, with gunslingers representing the Aces.
The player rearranges ten columns of face-down and face-up cards using descending order from King to Ace by alternating color. When the player exposes the Aces, the game automatically moves the cards to their suit-matched spots in a foundation area above the columns. It also automatically moves each revealed card that's next in ascending Ace-to-King order by suit.
If the player can't find a needed card in the columns, they must draw one or more cards from an upper-left area draw pile. They can reset this pile as many times as necessary. After removing a column entirely, they use the frosted space at the top to place a King out of the way and flip and reveal face-down cards.
Wile West Klondike provides the level number, score and timer on a ride sidebar. The player must perform their task quickly to beat the clock. They receive help from a semicircular back arrow undo tool in the lower-right area that resets with each new level. If they run out of moves, the entire game restarts. If they perform well, they receive a time bonus.
