Up Up Ubie Remix is an updated version of the fun, popular Up Up Ubie sidescroller. The mint green Ubi loves to play in the sky with balloons, but Ubi often falls because of popped ones. The player's goal is to help Ubi stay in the air as long as possible while collecting coins and destroying enemies.
The player can make Ubi bounce on or hold a balloon to float in the air. They can directly attack an enemy or many enemies at one time without tools. Yet, powerups also exist that make Ubi more durable, slow Ubi's fall, attract coins to Ubi and destroy enemies. The game offers Nubie, Normal and Hard modes with missions and obstacles that include collecting coins and destroying blowfish and birds wearing goggles before they can harm Ubi. The player can unlock more challenges over time.
If Ubi dies, a ghost floats through the air up to three times. The player can use coins to buy extra lives in addition to powerups and points to add to their gameplay score to unlock additional Ubi colors and characters. They can also buy backgrounds (Cloudy Forest 2 and Walrus Tundra) and characters (Purple Ubi, Yellow Ubi, Ink Ubi and Sushi Ninja). Additional achievements include bronze, silver and gold badges.
