Unpuzzle: Open the Picture is a casual, block-puzzle sorting game. The player directs the movements of blocks marked with white arrows to reveal a hidden picture. They also attempt to earn a high number of coins to pay for new decorative arrows and blocks.
The player receives five red heart lives along the top of the screen. They lose one when they select a non-usable block. If necessary, they can reset the hearts at any time by selecting the upper-left semicircular back arrow reload button and starting over entirely. The hearts also reset when the player wins a level.
Unpuzzle: Open the Picture isn't a complicated game. The player merely needs to logically direct blocks to slide off the screen without accidentally selecting blocked ones or running out of moves. If they're willing to watch advertisements, they can use a lower-right ad-supported light bulb button to see hints.
The game doesn't even require the player to play one level to unlock other levels. Instead, they can select the upper-right gear button and then an upper-left corner back arrow on the Settings screen to access a Level Selection screen. The silhouettes of the hidden pictures are extremely easy to figure out without unblocking anything.
The biggest challenge is selecting blocks without making a mistake. The blocks and picture randomly slide around on the screen during selections.
