Tropical Match is a match-3 game played on tropical islands. The player's goals are to collect items and perform other tasks for their guide, a colorful parrot named Coco; earn seashell-embossed gold coins to buy extra boosters; achieve up to three stars to win rewards; and play every level.
On a beach near the ocean, the player matches three or more identical items in columns and rows and performs other types of gameplay to collect bananas, flowers, starfish and a wide variety of other items. They receive a limited number of moves per level.
Over time, the player receives boosters. They can create line- and cross-blast special items that remove all items on a column, a row or both at the same time. They can also create super items. For example, they might combine two special items to use powers from both at the same time. They might align five identical items to create a super rainbow-colored flower that removes all identical items with one move or turns all items into a specific special item to use the special item's power in targeted positions. The game sometimes gives them ad-view or free access to other types of boosters, like a hammer-style beachball that breaks and removes items and anything blocking items (i.e., chains or ice).
Tropical Match rewards the player with coins that they can double by viewing a video. They also receive or win coins and boosters by playing a spin prize wheel and opening achievement and gift boxes and treasure chests.
If the player loses, they can use coins or ad views to retry with five extra moves or restart the level with a heart. That said, if no matches remain with moves still available, the game auto-shuffles the items on the board into new positions.
