Triple Goods Sort is a timed match-3 sorting game with a career theme. The player works as a stock clerk in a grocery store that always has messy shelves. They must sort different beverages, food items and household products into groups of three identical items before time runs out on a gold stopwatch. When they complete matches in a streak, they receive stars. They're paid with gold coins. They can multiply their income by viewing advertisements.
The game increases the number of products over time. It also hides some items in the back of shelving unit cubbyholes. As a result, the player might finish sorting products in the front of a hanging wall unit and then discover they have a lot more to sort in the back. That said, the game often forewarns them with silhouettes of the products.
Triple Goods Sort presents the player with many different obstacles over time. For example, they might need to unlock a chain that blocks off a shelf. The chain falls away when they perform matches. They also unlock four boosters, which the game refers to as props.
The first booster allows the player to shuffle all items to reveal more products and potential matches. The next one removes a set of matching products automatically. The player can even use a paintbrush booster to transform some products randomly into one type.
