Timberman is a retro-style arcade game that features a lumberjack and other characters attempting to chop down natural and artificial trees and similar structures as quickly as possible in various environments. A player's primary goal is to perform each cut without branches beaning their character.
Although chopping a tree sounds like a simple task, it's incredibly challenging and makes the game a lot of fun! The trees include natural red oaks and cacti as well as stacked tires with flagpole branches, red-and-white-striped candy canes with curled cane branches, wooden totems and metal pipes. The player must try to beat a timer that only lasts a couple of seconds. They must also switch quickly from one side to the other to miss the branches.
It's easy to misjudge the remaining distance between the character and a branch. If the player fails, their character automatically dies. The game then buries them at the base of the tree in a grave with a RIP tombstone. If the player succeeds, they receive stacks of wood and coins they can use to purchase more than 100 common, rare and epic characters known as "heroes," including a timbergirl, a gingerbread man, a viking, a hockey player, a cop, a Devil and a Grinch. The player also wins mystery items and prizes.
