Tiles of The Simpsons is a tile-matching game based on the popular animated series "The Simpsons." The game only contains seven levels, but it is by no means easy to win.
The player must clear layered tiles from a board by removing two or more connected matching tiles at a time from columns and rows. The tiles display fan-favorite characters, including Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, Maggie, Grampa and Mr. Burns.
Although the game diplays a lot of easy matches in the first level and a hint that applies a glossy shine to available matching tiles, the lower layer is incredibly difficult to clear without using bombs in the form of Duff beer cans. The player can only use one of these bombs to remove a single tile every time they run out of matches.
Yet, the player receives a limited number of Duff beers. They can only replenish the bombs by removing tiles through automatic combination moves. The game refills any gaps caused by tile removal by sliding tiles at the top of each column down toward the bottom. If this action results in new matching tiles connecting on top of or next to each other, it removes those tiles automatically and supplies additional Duff cans.
Tiles of the Simpsons also features hidden scenes behind the layered tiles. Each scene is revealed when the player wins a level.
