The Most Difficult Puzzle 2 is a block puzzle game that builds on the successes of the original and adds new twists. The player must once again fill grids with polygons in irregular shapes. They receive stars at the end of each level and coins after every few levels.�
The game has become even more difficult by adding extra modes, difficulty levels and polygon shapes. The player now has available to them Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, Expert and Master modes and Very Easy, Easy, Normal, Hard and Impossible difficulty levels.
The Impossible difficulty level also offers a Legend mode that features 35 polygons. Additionally, the player can't access the higher modes without first completely finishing the lower ones. As a result, they must start with the Beginner mode. The stars they earn unlock the other modes.
As with the previous game, The Most Difficult Puzzle 2 requires the player to fill the grid entirely to win a level. The player can't access the next level within a mode unless they win.
That said, if the player becomes stuck, they can reload the level and start over with the double arrows button. If they need more coins, they can watch an advertisement and receive more with the 125+ button. If they want a hint, they can use the lightbulb button.
The player can also receive credit when they rank well against other players. They can review their stats on the home screen.
