Tetroid 2 is a block-puzzle game that uses polyomino shapes similar to those in classic Tetris. The player's task is to create rows and columns of lines with these shapes to earn as many points as possible before they run out of space on the 10x10 board.
The initial theme features a beautiful winter scene with snow, holiday presents and a reddish sky. The board's grid is made of white, ornate lines and icicles. The player transfers the shapes from below the board to empty spaces on the grid. When they create a line, the game automatically removes it and rewards points. If the player completes combination moves by creating more than one line at a time, they receive higher points.
Every time the player completes 20 lines, the game rewards them with an icy gemstone. If they collect 50 gems, they can collect four additional themes. Each theme costs slightly more (5, 10, 15 and 20).
Tetroid 2 also has a Scores zone that lists the highest scores, the player's last score, and the player's personal best score.
It's important to note that Tetroid 2 doesn't allow the player to rotate the shapes on the grid. Instead, they must use reasoning skills to place each shape in an optimal position. They can also use an undo arrow icon hidden in the block that stored the last shape they placed on the grid.
