Tap Gallery is a click-tap, tile-based, logic-puzzle game. The player's goal is to remove all tiles from white fields across levels using specific motions.
Each tile displays an arrow pointing in a direction. The player removes the tiles by selecting unblocked ones on the outermost edges of the pattern first. When they select an unblocked tile, it slides off the screen in the direction of the arrow. This action unblocks other tiles. They continue this process until no more tiles remain on the field. When they win a level, the game sets off bursts of star confetti from both sides, and a happy smiley face emoji with star eyes appears on the screen.
The game presents ever-increasingly complex tile arrangements over time. The player receives three red hearts at the top-center of the screen that allow them to make three mistakes. If they accidentally direct a tile to slam into another tile, they lose a heart. If they use all three, they must start over or view an advertising video to revive their game.
Tap Gallery offers the player three primary ad-supported boosters below the field to prevent mistakes. The player can use a yellow hint button marked with a light bulb, a blue explosive button marked with a round bomb, pr a purple magnet button marked with a horseshoe magnet. If they can't solve a level and they're willing to watch an ad video, they can skip it entirely with an upper-left corner green skip button.
