Sushi Factory is a sliding-tile puzzle game that replaces tiles with a square-shaped sushi chef character and pieces of sushi. In a sushi restaurant, the player must direct the chef to correctly plate every piece of sushi on a wooden board when they receive an order from a customer.
The player must direct the chef square by square on the board to move the sushi pieces. The game makes this more difficult by limiting the number of open spaces available for the chef's movements.
If the player performs the task correctly, they receive gold coins, an advertisement-activated coin multiplier, and up to three stars. They sometimes also receive a new sushi recipe, skill or chef character. They can use the coins and gems to buy hints and tools. They can also renovate and redecorate the restaurant's interior.
Sushi Factory supplies the player with a lot of extra ways to earn coins and gems. They can acquire a chef who attracts coins on the board with a magnet. They can open treasure chests and a daily lunch box with a free prize. The game also features a Today's Menu daily mini-puzzle game with five rounds and rewards.
