Super Mini Golf is a sports game with a neat twist. It presents the player with mini golf venues that are at an incredibly small scale. The player must drop white putt-putt balls into holes on tiny courses that are hard to see, let alone navigate.
Each mini environment features land and trees with a cut-out area for the mini-golf play. The game places the ball in a start position at one end of the course and a hole and a red flag on a tall pole at the other end. It doesn't supply a visible miniature putter. Instead, the player uses a white laser-style targeting line to direct an invisible one.
The player hits a ball toward a hole. As with large mini-golf courses, this game features plenty of obstacles, such as oddly shaped walls that cause a ball to bounce back to the start position and deep holes and other traps. The player receives only three balls at a time to win. If they use all the balls, they must start over or watch an advertisement to gain access to three extra ones.
Super Mini Golf prompts the player to use their gold coin winnings to perform upgrades. The player can use coins to upgrade to a +1 ball spin, +5 impact force, +1 max ball, and +1 bonus ball. The player uses the lower-right up arrow button to review the options. They can confirm their coin balance in the upper-right area.
If the player performs well, they can rank on a global leaderboard. They can review it by using the lower-left button.
