Super Hexbee Merger is a connect-style, match-and-merge puzzle game with a honeybee theme and honeycomb-shaped boards with empty hexagon cells. The player's primary objective is to complete specific tasks and collect points.
The game is similar to block games that use polyomino shapes. The primary difference is that each shape in this game is made of hexagons instead of cubes or squares. The shapes also contain more than one color to allow the player to connect smaller hexagons or hexes with matching ones on the board.
The player receives three shapes below the main board. Before they move a shape to empty cells, they can change the positions of the hexes to make connections easier. When the player completes a task of connecting a specific number of hexes, as displayed above the board, they unlock a merger hex that merges all hexagons of the same matching color into one high-value hex.
Super Hexbee Merger tells the player outright that the keys to success in the game are to complete a specific number of combos and mergers in general and x3-specific combos, merge more than 10 hexes per level, and clear away all tasks. It also allows the player to track their Average, Best Score and Best All-Time scores and the top Average, Today and All-Time player rankings.
