Summer Camp Island: Bubble Trouble is a match-3, bubble-shooting game based on Cartoon Network's former Summer Camp Island television show. Best friends Oscar and Hedgehog and their friends need help popping anthropomorphic bubbles at summer camp.
The game features dozens of levels on a path through different areas of the camp. The player receives a task in each level, such as clearing a certain number of bubbles, reaching the top of the screen or freeing anthropomorphic marshmallows from captivity.
Two characters sit together. The player directs one of them to toss projectile bubbles to the other who tosses them into the air where other bubbles hang from the ceiling. Their goal is to hit two or more matching bubbles. The player continues to remove bubbles this way until they complete the task. When they're successful, they win points and stars.
Summer Camp Island: Bubble Trouble provides the player with a lot of helpful ways to burst bubbles and earn more points. The player can switch two projectiles if the main character doesn't have a matching one. They can also use a dotted targeting line to align the tosses. The player can use bombs that explode bubbles in all directions and horizontally or vertically. They can use rainbow bubbles to explode all bubbles of the same color. They can also burst bubbles that contain a higher-than-normal number of points.
