Sprunki is an online music-creation game based on Incredibox Sprunki. The player's only goals are to use items to transform Sprunki characters and experiment with the sounds the characters make to create and discover hundreds of different music compositions.
The game features a summertime landscape with rolling green hills, bright blue skies and puffy white clouds. Each Sprunki stands behind a wall and initially looks bored, tired and physically gray.
The player drags items from an icon field below the wall to the characters, including alien, cat and bear ear headbands; various hats; computer and robot figures; and nature icons. When they outfit a Sprunki with an item, the figure transforms into a unique character, such as a computer, a plant girl, a robot and a sun. Fans of the original game refer to these characters by different names like Mr. Fun Computer, Vineria, Fun Bot and Mr. Sun.
Sprunki attaches specific beats, effects, melodies, vocals and other sounds to the characters. Some characters, like a white cat character named Wenda, simply repeat words. Other characters produce one or more sounds, such as drumbeats and horn blasts. Several characters also produce complex noises, such as a brown hat character named Tunner who whistles.
If the player is willing to watch an advertising video, they can use a black hat to create a Sprunki named Black who generates horror music. The character is taller and looks partially human. It also alters the appearance of the other characters.
