Spot and Differs, stylized Spot&Differs, is a brain-training, find-the-differences puzzle game. The player selects differences between two images before time runs out. The game features thousands of levels.
The player receives two side-by-side or stacked near-identical images per level. They also receive spaces labeled with question marks near the top. They use the number of question marks to determine the number of differences. They then look for each one. The type, size and number of differences change across levels.
For example, an outdoor landscape picture might have an extra cloud or tree limb. An image of a room might not display a decoration seen in the other image or feature a different colored wall. In some cases, the difference is incredibly slight or tiny. For example, a candle might have a missing wick, a manual calculator might have a slightly longer solar panel, and a potted plant might have a small extra leaf.
The game supplies the player with an ad-supported magnifying glass hint tool below the pictures. That said, most of the differences are easy to spot without help. In many cases, the player merely needs to consider color and number differences. They must also recognize that a difference can occur with the same type of item in a scene more than once.
Spot and Differs rewards the player with achievement titles. After the player completes 10 levels, they receive the Keen Eye title. Additional titles include Explorer, Investigator, Detective and Sherlock. The player can access their achievements by selecting the golden paw-print-embossed medal with green ribbons on the home screen.
