Split Shot: Ball Adventure is a space-themed ball game with mechanics similar to bubble shooter, pinball, pool, and brick breaker games. While journeying into the great unknown across levels, the player directs a bouncy ball to collect white stars within a framed area.
The player receives the ball in the center of several rings. They can aim it to shoot in a straight line or angle it off side walls and objects. They move the ball in the opposite direction of the frame side walls or a star target to generate an aiming line that looks like links of a gold chain and enough force to propel the ball forward.
Split Shot: Ball Adventure presents the player with several obstacles. The ball has both hard and soft elements. For example, the player can bounce it against surfaces. That said, they must often prevent it from hitting spiked squares and popping out of existence like a bubble or balloon. They must also direct it to hit non-spike boxes repeatedly to break the boxes and reach one or more stars. As with pinball games, they often need to bounce the ball off bumpers to hit targets as well.
