Spinner Merge is a battle arena game with air hockey and merge elements. The player merges pairs of spinners designed with sharp blades and other weapons to create ultimate battle avatars. They direct their spinners to fight enemy spinners across level-style matches.
The battle arena is an off-white table with a blue border. It initially displays one spinner on a gray wire grid. The player uses their coin purse balance to purchase a second matching one. They then combine the spinners to create an evolved and more deadly avatar. Once they have this upgraded spinner, they direct it to fight one or more enemy spinners. Their spinner wins a match when it knocks all other spinners off the table. With each new level of the game, the spinners increase in dimensions or size and have different weaponry.
Spinner Merge also features an enemy boss battle after a specific number of levels. Boss enemies aren't always spinners. Instead, the player must direct their spinner avatar or avatars to strike tall dancing characters holding other types of weapons, such as bats and tridents.
Each time a spinner hits the leg of one of these characters, the player earns coins in the same way they earn coins with spinner-to-spinner strikes. They also win a new type of spinner. They can increase their winnings and perform additional spinner upgrades with advertisement views. They merely need to select any button marked with a film icon.
