Sort Stack is a block logic-puzzle game. On a green hill, the player attempts to unlock a town of stacked structures by completing sorting and stacking tasks. To achieve this goal, they stack single- and multiple colored hexagon-shaped brick tiles across levels.
Every level features a taupe snowflake-shaped grid of hexagons. The player can only sort tiles using the empty spaces. Below the grid at any given time, the game provides a set of three single or stacked tiles. High stacks earn points. The only way to stack tiles is to slide one or more into place onto an empty space next to another stack that features a color-matched top tile or tiles.
Sort Stack allows the player to track their growth and success. They start out as a Brick Novice and eventually level up to Brick Expert, Brick Master, Top Brick, Brick Champion, Build Novice, Build Expert, Build Master, Top Build and Build Champion.
The player can open additional empty spaces. They merely need to view ad videos and achieve specific score goals. The game rewards them with bonus coins. They then use the coins to continue a game or purchase boosters. The boosters include double arrows that refresh the tiles, a glove that moves or swaps tiles, and a hammer that clears away a pile.
