Sort Fruits, also known as Sort Fruits: Balloons, is a sorting game that has similarities to colored liquid test tube sorting games. The player must sort objects in vertical cylinders so that each cylinder holds the same color, size and type of object.
The game features three unnamed modes represented by hanging objects (i.e., a whole watermelon, a yellow bird and a colored bag of liquid) on the home screen. Each mode has similar game mechanics but with slightly different outcomes.
The watermelon mode tasks the player with sorting different types of whole fruits and some vegetables (i.e., apples, bananas, grapes, lemons, limes, pineapples, strawberries and watermelons) in the cylinders to create fruit juices. The bird mode requires the player to sort different anthropomorphic birds so that the game can then release each type from the cylinders and into the air. Lastly, the bag of liquid mode prompts the player to sort different bags of colored fluid similar to chemical reagents to create a new color inside of a tank.
Sort Fruits allows the player to switch between the themes at any time without losing their place in the game. The player also receives access to various tools to help them sort objects with ease, including a double arrow button that reloads the level, a +1 test tube button that adds an extra cylinder after the player views a video, and a back arrow undo button that reverses the last move.
