Spider Solitaire: Deluxe is a card game. The player attempts to create eight columns of simulated spider legs by rearranging pre-dealt cards in 10 columns and a draw pile.
The game offers custom options via a bottom-center collapsible command bar. With the Settings icon, the player can select between one and four suits, turn off sounds and the auto-hint tool, and set up a left-handed draw. They can use Themes to refresh the card fronts and backs and the backdrop with high-quality, premium images.
The player then forms partial column builds with at least two cards arranged in descending order on the existing columns. A standard card deck starts with the King at the top. The player can partially build any part of the sequence, such as "K, Q, J and 10," "6, 5 and 4," or "2 and A."
If the player runs out of options, they can draw cards from the lower-right area. That said, the draw pile releases 10 cards at a time. The game places a shadow across all the face-up cards blocked by the new ones. The player must then unblock the previously usable cards and builds.
Spider Solitaire: Deluxe offers both Hint and Undo tools on the command bar. It also provides free cells underneath the tops of the columns. The player can place any card or build temporarily in one.
During any dissatisfying play, the player can use Menu to restart the current game or begin a new one. When no more moves remain, the game provides a magic star wand tool to reveal a face-down card up to five times.
