Solitaire Online! is a social version of Klondike Solitaire with a tropical paradise and exploration theme. The player competes domestically and internationally against other online players in one-on-one and tournament matches.
The player immediately starts with one-on-one competitive play. It's important to note that English-language users don't receive an easy-access option to switch languages. That said, the game provides clear visual guidance. Anyone who has previously played Klondike Solitaire should have no difficulty following the prompts.
The screen displays seven columns of face-up cards layered atop face-down cards and an upper-left draw pile. Undo, hint and magnet buttons are available under the player's avatar near the upper-right foundation area.
During a match, the player attempts to fill the foundation spaces in ascending Ace-to-King suit-based order with the entire deck before their opponent. They find and auto-transfer the Aces at the start by creating King-to-Ace descending order, alternating color and suit builds within the columns.
The game provides many helpful tools. For example, it allows the player to refresh the draw pile until they run out of cards. It supplies 10 gold star points to purchase boosters that freeze an opponent's play for a few seconds per use. It also offers a Joker wild card that makes it possible for the player to start a separate build within a column or in place of a King or other card on the K free cells under the columns.
Solitaire Online! requires the player to compete in a gold trophy brackets tournament after their first match. They initially play three rounds. After they win one, they move on to the next one-on-one match. That said, the game doesn't provide an easy method for quitting and returning to the home screen. As a result, the player must reload the entire page if they become stuck during play.
