Solitaire Free is a card game that emulates classic Klondike Solitaire. The player attempts to move cards from seven mixed-card columns and a draw pile to four foundation spaces in ascending order by suit. They also attempt to earn points and enough stars to unlock new card and background designs and milestone titles.
The player starts with the Beginner title. If they win 16,000 times, they achieve the rank of Game Emperor. They can review their progress by using the button marked with an "i" on the home screen. On the same screen, they can open a gift if they watch a video, use the button marked with a gear icon to customize their draw, audio and language options, and log in to their account and save their progress. They can also make card and background selections and review a list of top global players.
Solitaire Free's gameplay features classic rules. The player rearranges the column cards into K-to-A descending order by alternating color and suits. They move all Aces to the upper-left foundation spaces to start the ascending-order piles.
If the player runs out of moves within a column, they can use the upper-right draw pile. That said, the game doesn't allow them to refresh this pile until no cards are left to play. As a result, the player should try the standard reverse arrow and light bulb buttons first and then the star wand tool. The former buttons allow the player to try different actions and receive hints. The latter button flips a face-down card and places it into a descending-order build position on one of the columns.
