Snake Blockade is a singleplayer snake game that contains elements similar to classic Snake and Blockade. That said, instead of the snake potentially slamming into the walls of a playfield, it can hit boxes that destroy the segments on its body.
The player must collect yellow dots to increase the size of their snake and orange stars to purchase skins, including bubbles, hearts, planets, smiley faces and snowflakes. They start by choosing one of three snakes made of solid-colored dots.
As with many popular snake games, the snake starts slithering on the playfield's black background immediately. The blocks on the playfield each feature a number. The player must swerve the snake to miss these blocks or hit ones with small enough numbers to prevent the snake from losing too many body segments.
For example, if the snake has five segments and hits a block marked with 5 or higher, the player loses the game. They also lose if their snake hits one block that features a smaller number and then another block that's equal in number to the remaining segments. If the snake hits a line between two blocks, it loses a number of segments equal to the combined number of both blocks.
If the player must start over, they can attempt to beat their last score and other stats. Snake Blockade tracks the maximum snake length, lifetime, score and best score.
