Slime Sorting is a sorting game that features colorful blobs of adorable, emoji-like, anthropomorphic slime distributed throughout test tubes. The player's job is to rearrange the ball-like blobs so that each flask has the same color of blobs. The game then adds cork stoppers to the containers and shakes each one to create specific solid-color liquids.�
The game doesn't offer complex play. The player must merely think about the distribution of the colored slime and consider the best ways to arrange the blob balls. They must use empty spaces above balls and empty containers to sort the slime.�
Unlike many similar sorting games, Slime Sorting allows the player to temporarily mix non-matching blobs. It initially makes the player believe they can only pour a blob ball into a test tube that has the same color of slime at the top. Yet, after the player pours one or more balls into a container with matching slime, they can then pour a non-matching blob or blobs into the same container.
The player receives tiny blobs as currency for their efforts. If they're willing to view videos, they earn extra rewards. After levels 6, 9 and 12, they then use the blobs to access extra flasks, different flask shapes, dye to randomly recolor slime blobs and other tools.�
Eventually, the player also unlocks a pet slime blob. They must complete levels to collect food to feed it and keep it healthy. They must also monitor and pet it. They can give their pet a free ball to keep it happy even when they're offline. Over time, they can upgrade its appearance by viewing ads as well.
