Shoot 2048 Hexa is an endless merge shooter similar to Hexa Shooter 2048 that features both tile-merging and bubble shooter actions. Against dark wood panels, the player shoots numbered hexagon-shaped tiles at empty cells on honeycomb rows. Their goals are to play for as long as possible and earn the all-time highest score.
The player starts by shooting a hexa projectile at one of the cells. If the next projectile matches the first tile, they direct it to land on an empty cell adjacent to the first one. The tiles slide together and auto-merge on the last targeted cell to form a higher-numbered new tile.
When the player uses specific empty cells, the game drops a new empty row. With additional rows, the second projectile can slide upward as well. In some cases, the upward slide decreases the number of rows. Three or more matching tiles can also merge when in adjacent positions. That said, the number for a new tile only increases when pairs of matching ones merge together.
If a projectile doesn't match, the player shoots it elsewhere to prepare for a future merge. They use a provided dotted aiming line and targeting tool to perform accurate shots. Otherwise, too many rows might drop downward until the cells reach the shooter. If that occurs, the player loses the game and must restart to attempt to surpass their last best score.
Shoot 2048 Hexa has a single booster. In the lower-right corner, the player can access a mallet-style hammer that allows them to remove any selected tile. They receive three free uses, and then they must view ads to earn additional access.
The game displays the player's ongoing score next to a star in the upper-center area. The player can also track their all-time score in the upper-right area.
