Secrets of the Castle Match 3 is a matching game. In a dark and scary castle, the player attempts to unlock 32 levels and thousands of puzzles by swapping crystals, shields marked with skull heads, and other items. They also attempt to earn a high score and golden coins and stars.
The player makes horizontal and vertical lines and performs other actions to collect task items displayed in the upper-left area. They create a line by looking for two adjacent matching items and a nearby third one that they can align via a simple swap with a non-matching item. They then perform the swap, and the items disappear from the board. They can track their score and the number of turns available at any given time in the top-center area.
With many levels, the game presents the player with obstacles, such as ice, spider webs and wooden crates. Unlike similar games, it allows them to swap items trapped within ice blocks. It makes items trapped by spiderwebs more difficult to access. That said, the player can create special items that also break obstacles by creating lines of four or more basic ones.
Secrets of the Castle Match 3 has three boosters as well. With these powerful tools, the player can collect a crystal, swap two crystals and collect from a blast radius. At the end of a level, they receive boosters and coins. They can use coins to buy boosters during play. Ad views give them extra coins.
