Save Stranding Fish is a sorting logic-puzzle game similar to Save Lazy Fish. Across 100 islands, ocean waves deposit strange two-legged fish of varying lengths onto beaches. Someone has carved the beaches into grids that feature circles. The fish are unable to leave a beach because they became stranded in groups that block movement. The player must attempt to unblock the fish so that each one can use their legs to run away.
The player repositions a fish to rest atop one of the circles. They can drag the front of a fish in any direction, as long as it doesn't hit another fish. They can't drag the back. After they open up a path, they select an unblocked fish to make it run. That said, some fish run automatically the moment the player finishes interacting with the screen.
Save Stranding Fish provides the player with access to each island via a rechargeable battery system. The battery initially has a full 5/5 charge. When the player visits an island and makes mistakes, they lose some of the charge. They can only recharge the battery by viewing ads. They can also use ad views to access hints.
The game also allows the player to try out different fish skins. To unlock and use five skins, they must view ads.
