Sausage Flip is a fun interpretation of bottle-, coin- and stickman-flipping platformers. A player must launch and flip a sticky sausage with googly eyes against and over objects to reach a vertical, black-and-white-checkered finish line across more than 150 levels.
The player must launch the flexible weenie from a hand, and then flip it repeatedly. The game features both helpful tools and difficult obstacles along each path, including spring platforms, long-distance rockets, paddle wheels and stacked blocks. If a level is too hard for the player, they can skip it by watching an advertisement.
The player can make a variety of mistakes without the sausage falling below the bottom of the playfield. Sausage flip even offers a type of save option not commonly seen with similar games. If the sausage falls below the bottom and sticks to the top or side of an object that also extends below, the level won't automatically reset. Although the player can't see where the sausage lands, they can continue flipping it. That said, they must then rely upon luck to win.
Additional skins include sausages of different colors, an astronaut, a sunflower, domesticated and wild animals and a stack of banknotes. The player can upgrade to these sausage-shaped objects by watching ads and reaching certain levels.
