Royal Cats, also known as Royal Cat Puzzle, is a cat-themed puzzle game. Across thousands of levels, the player's main task is to perform primarily match-3 and some pull-the-pin moves to win jigsaw puzzle pieces that reveal hidden selfies of anthropomorphic cats. Their other tasks include earning embossed gold paw print coins and participating in special events.
The game features 110 cat pictures. The player must often win as many as 12 match-3 and pull-the-pin games to reveal a selfie. With match-3 games, they reach tile collection goals by creating lines of three matching tiles or using special items and boosters. With pull-the-pin games, they feed a cat by pulling golden pins that block off levels in a feeder. After the player reveals a selfie, they can use it as their avatar.
Royal Cats has many fun, unique elements. For example, a match-3 booster doesn't move on its own. The cat that guides the player appears in full-size form and uses it.
The special events depend on the month and time of year. The player might need to complete a streak of levels without losing to help a cat attached to floating balloons reach treasure chests on tree limbs. If they decide to participate in a live event against other online players, they might need to be first to complete a specific number of levels.
