Puzzle Love is a puzzle game similar to classic, offline sliding-tile puzzle games. A dark-haired girl with pigtails and a blond-haired boy are wildly in love. Yet they're stuck as square blocks in a virtual world separated by blocks in blue-framed sliding puzzle games. The player must help the lovers reach each other in every sliding puzzle across 30 levels. When the player completes this task, the two characters kiss and red hearts of different sizes float around on the screen.
As with tangible sliding-tile puzzles, each of the Puzzle Love games features a board with an empty space. The player uses the gap to slide blocks around until they can bring the girl and boy together. As the player progresses through the levels, they must deal with increasingly larger boards or stationary obstacles. For example, they might need to slide the blocks around unmovable metal blocks riveted with Xs across them.
Puzzle Love also doesn't allow the player to move more than one block at a time. As a result, the player might experience a small amount of frustration with the mechanics. That said, these sliding-block games offer hours of mentally challenging puzzles.
