Puzzle Blocks is a block puzzle game that features five modes (i.e., Classic, Play Hexa, Explore, Rescue and Puzzles). The player's primary goal across these modes, and any sub-modes and levels, is to use single wooden blocks and polyomino shapes made of blocks to complete various tasks.
In Classic mode, the player selects a secondary mode (i.e., Standard, Plus, Bomb, Survival or Race). Standard offers normal polyomino shapes, and Plus offers additional designs. With Classic Survival, for example, the player creates lines and earns points for as long as possible to prevent a green timer bar from disappearing above the board. With Classic Race, they create lines to reach a finish line flag and earn the highest remaining score as quickly as possible. Play Hexa offers similar gameplay as Classic but with hexagon-shaped blocks (i.e., hexas).
With the main Explore mode, the player places blocks and shapes across levels to reach a goal and prompt the game to colorize pictures of hidden animals. Rescue requires the player to perform block tasks to open treasure chests filled with coins and rescue pets. Lastly, the Puzzles mode requires the player to fill confined spaces with blocks and shapes to reveal hidden puzzle pieces and complete images of beautiful landscapes. Rescue and Puzzles also offer collection galleries where the player can see their rescued pets and recreated landscapes, respectively.
Puzzle Blocks has boosters as well. These tools include options that rotate shapes, destroy unwanted pieces, and show the best spots to place specific block and shapes.
