Protect My Dog is a casual puzzle game that requires a player use logic, drawing skills and knowledge of physics to protect the round heads of one or more dogs from attacking bees, lava, deep water, metal spikes and other dangers across 40 levels.
In each level, the dog head or heads float above or in proximity of one or more threats. The player must design and draw a barrier around the white-and-brown canine head or heads. They can't use more than one line. Instead, they must start, draw and complete the barrier continuously without interruption. If they draw the barrier correctly, the dog or dogs remain safe until a timer at the top of the screen counts down to zero.
Protect My Dog sometimes requires that the player use nearby objects to support the barrier. For example, they might use bricks, floating columns or the ends of posts that appear as circles on the background wall. Unlike similar games, this game doesn't offer any opportunities for the player to purchase hints or replays. If the player fails and wants a second chance, they can retry the same level for free. If they want to skip it entirely, they merely need to watch an advertisement.
