Protect My Dog 2 is the next edition of the popular Protect My Dog logic-puzzle game series. As with the original, a player must draw barriers using their knowledge of geometry and physics to protect one or more dog heads from various threats, including angry bees, wide chasms, hot lava, disappearing spikes and deep water. This version includes an additional 45 levels (85 total), special stone stairs and tiers and other animals who need protection, such as monkeys and pandas.
The player must come up with the correct barrier design to protect one or more heads floating near bee hives and other dangers. They must typically use objects in the scene to support the barrier in some way. For example, they might need to hook the end of the line to the side of a step to prevent the rest of the barrier from rolling into lava or water. They might need to create a loop-style barrier around a head and then backtrack to make a straight line under it to give the circular barrier extra support.
The player needs to draw the barrier before a green number timer at the top right corner of the screen reaches the number on the right side. They only need the barrier to hold long enough to beat a red count-down timer above the scene.
Protect My Dog 2 offers basic gameplay without any hints or boosters. If the player needs to replay a level, they simply use a restart button. If they want to skip a level, they watch an advertisement.
