Legend of Panda is a multiplayer, turn-based, fighting game that utilizes tile-matching elements. The oldest son from a panda family has fled with his loved ones to a valley after evildoers slaughtered their village. The player helps him defeat online enemies. As time passes, they can upgrade his gear and switch to other members of the family.
The player must match three or more element tiles on a board below the battle screen to bestow upon the son various powers. Each tile has a color and symbol related to attacks, healing and defense. The player can collect more than one element at a time, which means that they can equip the son with several weapons and powers and restore healing or create defenses with a single tile swap. If they run out of MP, they must restore it before they can use certain attacks even if they make a match on the tile board.
Legend of Panda also supplies boosters, known as perks, to improve attacks and defense. The player picks two perks to use with a limited number of turns from a list of available options before each match. When they win a match, they receive points across all areas. They also receive coins and skill cards to equip base weapons and powers and upgrade skills. They can increase their coins by buying additional ones with gemstones. They also receive gifts and bonuses. With the later, they must usually watch an advertisement.
