OvO is a side-scrolling, skill-based platformer that asks a player to help a character perform parkour moves while collecting coins during a timed speed run through more than 60 dungeon-style levels.
The game features nine environments (Basics, Getting Serious, Higher Order, Mechanics, OvO Space Program, Journey Through the portal, Community levels, The Gauntlet and Training Level). Each individual level within these environments presents the player with a variety of obstacles, including tiers, walls, floor gaps, levers, spring-loaded plates, floating platforms, stationary, sliding and rolling spikes, motion-seeking rockets, rotating rooms and lights-out areas. The player must run the character to a black flag at the end of each level to unlock the next one.
OvO supplies more than basic gameplay. There's a Hard Mode for tough players and an Advanced Mode that offers replays. It's important to note that the player must have precise hand-eye coordination to direct the character accurately even when playing without turning on these options. If the character falls through a gap or hits a deadly obstacle in a level, they must restart from the beginning of that level.
