Number Bubble Shooter is a 2048-style merge bubble shooter. The player completes various tasks and unlocks new levels by merging numbered projectiles with matching hanging ones. The game treats the bubbles like dull gemstones. It presents the highest-numbered ones in golden four-prong settings.
Each level has a hidden goal for the player, such as clearing the field entirely or earning a specific score. The game provides them with a ring shooter and two non-swappable projectiles to create merge pairs.
Although the player can't swap projectiles, they can use a lower-right booster to discard a non-matching primary projectile and replace it with the secondary one. They receive access three times and then must view advertisements to continue to use the booster.
Number Bubble Shooter adds a new row of bubbles to the field every time the player fails to perform a merge. This obstacle can quickly make the bubbles slide into the worst possible position below a blue horizontal laser line. If that happens, the game resets back to the beginning entirely instead of the start of the current level.
The player can prevent a total restart by using a secondary booster in the lower-left area that initially looks like the silhouette of a rocket ship. After each merge, the game colorizes a small portion of this spot to charge the rocket. When this booster is available, the player destroys targeted bubbles with an explosion.
