Number Blast 2048 is a block-matching merge game with 2048 elements. It features a play area with colorful numbered blocks stacked seven blocks high across five columns. The player's goal is to merge matching blocks to form higher-numbered ones for as long as possible. They also attempt to earn the best score ever for this game.
The player merges blocks in adjacent clusters by selecting a single block. When they perform this action, the blocks slide left, right, up, down or diagonally toward the selection point. When they merge two matching ones, the higher-numbered block equals the sum of the numbers.
For example, the merge of two 8 blocks forms a 16 block. With clusters, a new block forms from merges that occur in a chain, such as four 8 blocks merging to form two 16 blocks that result in a 32 block. Outcomes for chains with an odd number of blocks are harder to calculate than those with an even number.
Number Blast 2048 rewards the player with coins when they form a new block. They also receive coins when they view advertisements. They can then use their coins, shown in the upper-left corner, to purchase access to two boosters below the play area. With the tools, they can swap any two blocks and remove an unwanted block.
Over time, the game replaces lower-numbered blocks that drop into gaps created after a pair or cluster merges with higher-numbered ones. It also tracks the player's global rank on a leaderboard that's accessible via a trophy icon in the upper-right corner.
