My Hotel is a business-development and time-management game with semi-realistic hospitality elements. The player must develop several hotels over the course of the game, including hotels in old London, Dubai and Ancient Rome.
The player starts with the London hotel at Christmastime. The hotel features warm, ornate fixtures and decorations and a signature staircase that leads to an intermediate landing and upper rooms on each side of the hotel. The bellhop serves tea from a teapot near the intermediate landing and cleans the rooms using supplies from the supply closet under the stairs. The clerk greets guests and accepts their payment at the reception desk.
The player controls all aspects of the hotel, including check-in and check-out processes, assigning rooms and the bellhop's responsibilities. They must rush to make certain that everything runs smoothly so that the hotel guests don't become angry. A green speech bubble displays above the head of each guest and potential customers. If a character becomes upset about delays with receiving service, it turns yellow and eventually red. The player fails the level if they fail to keep up with demands (i.e. a guest becomes angry or a potential customer walks out).
If the player fails, they must restart the level. If they perform well, they earn coins and rubies to buy upgrades for each area of the hotel. For example, they can upgrade the supply closet with better tools to make the bellhop clean faster. The game also offers a daily bonus of coins, rubies or both.
