Muscle Man Rush is a three-dimensional boxing and racing game. The player directs a muscle-bound stickman down a racetrack toward a boxing ring and opponent. To win, they must grow their stickman's muscles and height while he rushes down the track.
The player starts out with a blue stickman wearing red boxing gloves. They direct him to run through clusters of red and gold gloves to increase his size, which also changes his skin color and makes his boxing gloves larger. Red gloves evolve him more slowly than gold ones. Gold gloves double, triple or quadruple his size instantly.
The stickman faces off against smaller opponents on the track before the boxing ring. These enemies are typically aliens of varying sizes and strengths. Other obstacles include spiked rotating cylindrical columns and giant falling wooden mallets.
Muscle Man Rush allows the player to utilize or equip several athletic and special abilities. Depending on the scenario, they can make the character run and skate fast, leap a vast gap in the track, and fly above the track. The stickman can even break through walls.
During the race, the player also directs him to pick up purple diamonds. They earn more diamonds by knocking opponents through walls and viewing ads. With these gems, they can update his look with different hats, including a double-can party hat, cowboy hat, helmet and sombrero.
