Money Movers 3, a puzzle platformer, takes the Money Movers series in a new direction. The game features a flashback set during the initial successful breakout of the criminal brothers in the first game. The events are told from the perspective of a young prison guard and his trusted canine partner who were responsible for capturing runaway prisoners.
As with the other Money Movers' games, one player might find it difficult to control the two characters. That said, the guard and his dog must work together. Like the brothers, they also deal with obstacles in every area of the prison, including narrow spaces between platforms, step-like columns, buttons and switches that control moving doors and platforms, deadly lasers and rubber-bullet guns.
The young guard can jump higher than his dog. He can also duck down into narrow spaces. The dog is the only one who can subdue a prisoner unless the guard fights back with an object, such as a laser beam or wooden crate. Otherwise, the prisoner knocks the guard out. The partners also collect money bags to return them to a storage area and open up a hidden level where they find an additional prisoner and bags that they must collect before a timer runs out.
