Mahjong Solitaire Blossom is a relaxing tile-matching game in the online Chinese Mahjong tradition. The player's main goal is to remove patterns of tiles from a stunning bokeh picture of a cobblestone, tree-lined street. They also attempt to earn the highest ranking score among players from around the world.
The tiles display bamboo stalks, birds, dots, flowers, seasons and other icons. The player can only remove two matching, uncovered tiles that have one open left or right edge. They can select two identical ones or any pairs that have icons from the same flower or season category.
That said, the game tries to confuse the player with similar icons and colors. The flower category has a bamboo tile, but it's not the same as standard bamboo ones. It has different artwork and entirely green stalks. The seasons category has flower and flowering tree branch tiles, but some of the art and colors are different.
Mahjong Solitaire Blossom displays the number of available pairs in the upper-left corner next to a star. It shows the score in the upper-center area. It provides helpful tools in the lower corners.
The player can reload the pattern at any time with a lower-left semicircular arrow button. They can also shine green highlight on a matching set of tiles with a light bulb button. In the lower-right corner, they can shuffle the positions of all remaining tiles with a double-arrow button.
