Magic and Wizards Match is a match-3 game. A young witch needs the player's help collecting gemstones and other objects within a limited number of moves along a nighttime path in a magical world. The player must match three or more identical objects in columns and rows on play boards across levels. They must also earn points and three stars per level.
The player reviews tasks on a scroll on the left side of the screen below the area that monitors stars, moves and points. They then select an object and swap it with another to complete a line. They use helpful special items and boosters to collect non-matching items. When they win a level, the game proclaims "Magic & Wizards."�
Magic and Wizards Match allows the player to create special items by performing specific actions, such as making a line of four or five matching items. Special items include line blasts, cross blasts and spiral bombs that take out a column or row, both at a time, or one type of specific object everywhere, respectively. To remove diagonal lines of objects, for example, the player combines two cross blasts. To clear an entire board, they combine two spiral bombs.
Boosters become available when the player unlocks specific levels. The player can also activate certain ones before they start playing a level. The boosters include two arrows that swap objects, a magic wand that removes one object, and feathers that act like rockets to clear rows and columns.
The game rewards the player with coins at the end of each level. They also receive coins and boosters in gift boxes and treasure chests.
