Jelly Sort is a sorting game that features colorful anthropomorphic jellies. The player's goal is to release jellies into a meadow by clearing playfields of patterns of layered mixed jellies positioned on green round-cornered blocks. They receive in-game cash winnings at the end of each level.
Although the game is similar to tile-matching games like Mahjong, the player isn't restricted during jelly selections. They can select a jelly in any position on the field, as long as it isn't underneath another jelly and covered with a shadow.
When the player makes selections, the game transfers the pieces to slots below the pattern. It only removes the pieces entirely if the player creates a set of three matching ones. They must restart the level if they fill all the slots without creating a set.
Jelly Sort! offers four boosters to help the player win. They can use a star button to receive a hint, a double-arrow button to shuffle the jellies into new positions and reveal matches, a back arrow button to undo the last move, and a plus sign button to add an extra slot.
When the player receives their winnings, they can earn more by viewing advertising videos. If they need to go to the home screen, they use the home button in the upper-left corner and a red heart life to quit. They receive five hearts initially. They can wait for extra ones to appear after so many minutes or earn more with ad views. On the screen, the jellies bounce around playfully in the meadow.
