Jello Bubbles is a bubble-popping game. Across the globe, someone has attacked famous landmarks with massive jello bombs that covered each one with gelatin. To help during this crisis, the player assists a young woman who needs to pop jello-filled balls hanging from bars using match-3 maneuvers.
The player's main goal is to complete tasks. For example, they might need to clear all bubbles from the playfield or free small birds trapped in bubbles. They also attempt to earn the highest point score and three stars per level.
The game features a bubble tossing machine in front of each landmark below the hanging bubbles. The machine holds two bubble projectiles at a time. The player uses a dotted targeting line to direct a projectile at two or more matching connected hanging bubbles to pop the cluster. Otherwise, they target one matching bubble to prepare for a future shot.
Jello Bubbles also offers booster play. Over time, the player's actions charge a glittery bubble ball on the right side of the screen. After the ball fills up, they use it to shoot a cluster of mixed bubbles with an explosive force. The game also eventually allows the player to unlock super ball boosters below the playfield. For example, they can unlock and use as a bomb that removes a horizontal row of mixed bubbles.
