Idol Livestream: Doll Dress Up is a dress-up game with competitive and social sharing elements. The player receives an animated social media influencer doll to dress up in a wide variety of ways. Their objectives are to earn two forms of currency, gift boxes, and new outfits and other items for their doll. They complete this task by dressing up their doll in different scenarios.
The player can compete in versus mode or perform for an audience. With both options, they dress their doll to match a background picture and theme or specific pieces from an outfit or look shown briefly before the start of play. They can typically change their doll's skin color, hair, face, dress, top, bottom, accessories, socks, shoes, hair piece, eyewear, and special magical princess effect.
That said, the player must often view advertisements to do well, as seen with the Perform mode. In some scenarios, they must also view videos to change the background.
Idol Livestream: Doll Dress Up offers other types of fun play, including a furniture option, a daily bonus, a personal channel to post selfies, and a tool for changing the doll's poses. The player accesses all these options on the home screen.
