Hide N Seek simulates a real-world game of classic offline hide-and-seek using 3D graphics. The player's avatar must search for children hiding in various spots in a house. They must look in every nook and cranny to discover the cute, smart kids.
The house is expansive and extremely realistic with its details except for large hands that show the player interactive doors. These doors don't always lead to the hidden children. Some areas are also off limits entirely and feature spots blocked with furniture. The player waits for the children to hide and then interacts with objects in each room to find them. When they're successful at finding a child, the child makes a surprised sound and expression.
The player also receives bonus tools at the start of some games. The tools point to the kids in unique ways. For example, a compass points in their direction, a finder stick similar to a divining stick stops shaking when they're near and a pair of x-ray night-vision glasses shows where they're hiding with a glowing outline.
How to play:
If available, pick a bonus tool to assist with the search. Move around a room. Look for a child or children peeking around a corner or huddled behind an object. If unsuccessful in a room, move on to the next one.
Controls:
Keyboard: Hide N Seek primarily requires keyboard keys. The player uses W, A, S and D or Up Arrow, Left Arrow, Down Arrow and Right Arrow to walk around the house and each room. To reveal the cursor at any time, press Esc. To access the volume setting, press Esc twice.
Mouse: To look around a room, slide the mouse in a direction. To interact with a kid or object, click it.
Mobile: To look around a room, slide a finger or stylus in a direction on the trackpad or screen. To interact with something, tap it.
