Hidden Chambers of the Wizard is a hidden-object game in which a player must search for objects in various rooms inside of a wizard's castle across dozens of levels. Instead of picture views, each room offers a three-dimensional, 360-degree perspective so that the player can search every nook and cranny for the objects in a task. Common objects include books, bottles, candles, pottery and scrolls.
The game gauges the player's progress with a horizontal, rainbow-colored timer. The player must find every object before time runs out or start over. The game might hide the objects in plain sight on a bookshelf or table or behind or under other larger objects. The player can reposition the camera view to any angle during their search. If they perform well, they receive a reward of points. After they've earned enough points, they can explore the next level of a room or an entirely new room.
Hidden Chambers of the Wizard features a revive scenario in the event that the player fails to find every object in time. This option is especially important because many of the objects feature similar colors and shapes.
The game also has a unique quirk. After winning a level, the player must re-select the room on the main menu and the next unlocked level to continue playing the game.
